The firm San Diego Project Management, PSC was responsible as the Prime Contractor to provide QA Services and Concrete Material Laboratory Technicians under Task Order No. 1 for the Portuguese Dam Project, Ponce Puerto Rico. San Diego Project Management, PSC is the first small business firm from Puerto Rico to win this type of contract with the USACE in the region.

Under the Task Order, San Diego Project Management, PSC was providing  Senior Quality Assurance Engineers, Junior Quality Assurance Engineer and three Material Laboratory Technicians with the appropriate skills, knowledge, education, and certifications to perform the work. The two QA Engineers were working on the task order due to their experience in foundations, earthwork, grouting, and concrete work. 

All the members of San Diego Project Management, PSC are certified with their CQCM Certification, in addition to having experience in foundations, earthwork, grouting, and concrete work. The Material Laboratory Technicians are certified with their American Concrete Institute Certifications. As a result of this unique project, the Team consists of a highly qualified Material Technicians who are experts in Roller Compacted Concrete for dams. Furthermore, employees are current on their Safety Training with EM 385-1-1 and the OSHA Safety Training certification with 30 hours or 10 hours certificates. The team is currently providing QA services for the Pump House and the commission of the dam.
