Renovate Parking Garage

San Diego Project Management, PSC along with the firm Mendez, Brunner, Badillo and Associates presented the design for fall prevention in the openings of the parking buildings. The design presented by San Diego Project Management provided for an aluminum mesh that is wide enough to allow for the flow of air in an open parking facility while at the same time strong enough to resist tampering and to prevent a person from falling from the facility as a suicide prevention feature. We designed the frame and the attachment to the parapets, columns and top of the parking building. Other openings like between parking floors and stairwells have wire mesh and frames. At the same time, we provided a design of a surface material for the parking building to allow for better traction and maintenance. Cost of design: $70K Cost of the Project: $990K. Wrote the specifications and reviewed the drawings. Team provided all design services in house. Note design to resist Category 5 Hurricane. Design is 100% and Construction is 100% complete.
