Mrs. Yaritza Mercado Vázquez, PE

Mrs. Yaritza Mercado Vázquez, PE is a Quality Control Manager for San Diego Project Management.

Yaritza earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (August 1999 – December 2004) from University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. As well as, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering (August 2007 – February 2010) from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, San Juan.  She is a Registered Professional Engineer in Puerto Rico.

Before working with San Diego Project Management, she collaborated in two prestigious companies in Puerto Rico. From January 2005 to August 2011 she worked for José A. Meléndez & Associates (JAMA) Civil Engineering Consultants in San Juan, PR as civil engineer, designer and contract project manager.  After that working experience, she began a career in Puerto Rico Telephone Company in Guaynabo, PR occupying various positions for almost a decade.  During the period of August 2011 to 2019 she occupied the following positions: Quality Project Manager/Civil Engineer position for the Engineering and Planning Department (Aug 2011 ‐ Dec 2013); Design Engineer position for the External Plant Design Department (Jan 2014 – Dec 2017); Project Manager for the Building Maintenance Dept. (Jan 2018 ‐ February 2019).

Considering her fourteen years of experience planning, organizing, leading, and controlling quality infrastructure projects (civil and telecommunications); and her proven experience in construction management using the tools of scheduling, project control software, safety and quality management, San Diego Project Management added her to its team on February 2019 as Quality Control Manager for our company.
